Animal Protection Nursery of the Year 2023
At Égig Érő Fa Bilingual Montessori Family Nursery Network in Győr, we believe that animal protection goes far beyond just admiring cuteness—it's about teaching real responsibility and respect for all living creatures from a young age. We're proud to have won the "Animal Protection Nursery of the Year 2023" award from the University of Veterinary Medicine and the "Animal Protection for Children" community, chosen from 361 entries! Our daily activities integrate hands-on experiences, like setting up bird feeders, building hedgehog houses from natural materials, and even virtual adoptions of shelter dogs. As educator Szalayné Nagy Natália shares, "It's crucial that children encounter the natural world not just through storybooks, but with a sense of duty—we teach them that animals need care, shelter, and food, just like us." From therapy dog visits to gently relocating insects, we foster a love for wildlife, big and small, ensuring our little ones grow into compassionate stewards of the planet.
